Classroom Management

 

1.  Classrooms at the University are categorized into three types: general classrooms, seminar classrooms, and specialized classrooms. The first two types are managed by this division, while specialized classrooms, such as audiovisual classrooms, drafting classrooms, computer labs, language classrooms, interpretation classrooms, and laboratory classrooms, are managed by the respective departments or centers.

 

2.  The Office of Academic Affairs manages a total of 225 classrooms (3 of which are either loaned out or not in use, leaving 222 classrooms available for scheduling). These classrooms are distributed across two campuses:

               a)        Downhill Campus – 171 classrooms:

                        ●   Jing Tang Building: 6 classrooms

                        ●   Xue Si Building: 12 classrooms

                        ●   Yi Xian Building: 4 classrooms

                        ●   Research Building: 26 classrooms (1 not in use)

                        ●   College of Commerce: 22 classrooms

                        ●   Information Building: 20 classrooms (2 loaned out)

                        ●   Da Zhi Building: 5 classrooms

                        ●   Da Ren Building: 2 classrooms

                        ●   Da Yong Building: 13 classrooms

                        ●   General Building of Colleges (North Wing): 28 classrooms

                        ●   General Building of Colleges (South Wing): 33 classrooms

              b)        Uphill Campus – 54 classrooms:

                        ●   Dao Fan Building: 13 classrooms

                        ●   Bai Nian Building: 15 classrooms

                        ●   Ji Tao Building: 23 classrooms

                        ●   International Building: 1 classroom

                        ●   Art & Culture Center: 2 classrooms

 

3.  Basic classroom equipment, such as blackboards, desks, chairs, curtains, fans, lighting, podiums, and E- teaching devices, is managed by this division for procurement and maintenance. Additional teaching equipment, such as microphones and projectors, is also available for borrowing to meet teaching needs.

 

4.  Classroom Borrowing Policy:
This division only processes classroom borrowing requests during the semester from Monday to Friday (excluding public holidays). Nighttime slots (6 PM to 9 PM) are limited to classrooms in the College of Commerce and the Research Building, and only for teaching purposes. For non-teaching purposes, please contact the General Affairs Division or the Extracurricular Activities Division under the Office of Student Affairs. During weekends, holidays, and summer or winter breaks, the borrowing process is as follows:

                        ●   For club activities, contact the Extracurricular Activities Division.

                        ●   For classrooms in the College of Commerce, contact the College of                                         Commerce.

                        ●   For other classrooms, contact the General Affairs Division.
